This was so lovely to watch!
What a lovely, lovely, story this was. In the numerous Pride & Prejudice adaptations I’ve seen I’ve always given thought to Mary, the forgotten sister, and yearned for her to find kindness and happiness despite the fact that the original story never gave that to us. I’m so glad someone felt the same way enough to write her this wonderful adventure. In this adventure, my favourite part is that Mary never compromised herself, despite her mother’s cruelty and her being overshadowed by four other sisters. This series was as light, charming, and witty as any of Austen’s other stories. We even got to see multiple dimensions of the infamous Caroline Bingley. Ella Bruccoleri shines in the central role, and I also particularly loved Indira Varma as Mrs. Gardner. If you’re a Jane Austen fan, or a fan of airy and enchanting period dramas don’t waste a moment and make sure to give this one a watch.
