Remarkable I loved it! Although, admittedly, I pretty much love all of Adam Curtis' stuff. This documentary series stands out though because it's a movement away from his usual tropes. There was no voice over explaining how things connected and no Nine Inch Nails in the soundtrack yet the editing was still sublime and I was engrossed all the way through. For those who recognise the name Adam Curtis, you may have seen his other documentaries like Hypernormalisation, The Trap, The Power of Nightmares or Can't Get You Out of My Head or his work on Charlie Brooker's Newswipe. You might be familiar with his style as it has been parodied expertly on a number of occasions including the most recent Harry and Paul special.
