Rusty's three part love letter to Noele Gordon For those who don't know what this is, it's a biopic about Noele Gordon and when she was sacked from Crossroads. I can't profess to know too much about her and I never saw an episode of Crossroads, however I watched because it was written by Russell T Davies. As you can expect it has his snappy sassy dialogue and the occasional justified lecture about human nature so I was already enjoying it but he does a great job at making the subject really engaging. He also manages to make it a deeper conversation about how the entertainment industry treats aging stars, how society and men treat middle aged women and a good time capsule of social history. The performances are perhaps a bit OTT, but I think it's justified because the people in this were larger than life and is reflective of the hyperbolic nature of soaps and the media.
