I started watching because I saw Liv Tyler and thought I hadn’t seen here anywhere on TV ever and I absolutely loved her role. She brought such raw tenderness to her character and her voice and mannerisms are so ughh love. Otherwise a great show with great acting and an interesting plot that (in the beginning) made me think it’ll be one of those shows where they try to convince you that sex work really IS good for women and ‘Look! It’s been around since the beginning of time! It gives women power!’ when actually it hits you with the horrendous reality: r*pe, pedophilia and (surprise, surprise) the ‘powerful’ men behind it. It also made me remember the role women have in these sex trafficking rings. Since they themselves are always abused, they either fall apart/don’t live long or, as a means of survival, grow up to be so just as evil as the men. Such a sad reality, women hurting girls and the Ghislaine Maxwell of it all.
