
Senuri Chandrani is an Australian actor of Sri Lankan (Sinhalese) heritage, based in Melbourne and Sydney. She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting). She appeared as Jaya in Goran Stolevski's Of an Age, which opened the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2022. In 2026 she played the lead role of Madisha in Mad Rush, the debut feature of writer-director Maddelin McKenna, which premiered at MIFF. On stage, Chandrani has played Hester in Suzan-Lori Parks' Fucking A, directed by Candy Bowers, and Lady Macbeth in a production directed by Petra Kalive. She toured with Belvoir St Theatre's production of Counting and Cracking, written by S. Shakthidharan and directed by Eamon Flack, playing seasons in Melbourne, Sydney and New York. Chandrani also writes and directs. She directed the short film Island Praying, which premiered at Multicultural Arts Victoria's Diasporas Festival, and co-created the short film Purple. She works additionally as a voice actor in commercial and advertising work.
