Tron: Ares is a 2025 sci-fi action movie directed by Joachim Rønning and the third film in the Tron franchise, following Tron: Legacy (2010). It’s an interesting continuation of the story, but the pacing and writing are a bit uneven and hold it back. The cast is solid, Jared Leto and Gillian Anderson are both great, but the script doesn’t really give them enough to shine. Still, the movie is pretty gripping overall and has a nice flow once it gets going. The absolute highlight is the phenomenal Nine Inch Nails soundtrack, which adds a lot to the atmosphere. 6.5/10
???? I have a lot more questions than answers about this Not even the Nine Inch Nails OST can elevate this I can appreciate some of the effects, I appreciate some callbacks to past movies, but they really fundamentally misunderstood what made the others appealing.
