A musical, lyrics written by the host of Crystal Maze, with Christopher Lee as the villain about a Superhero kicked out of the US due to McCarthyism. Need I say more? I feel Terry Pratchett's assessment that the film is "a series of bad moments pasted together with great songs and a budget of fourpence" is on the money, but it ain't half fun! Sometimes it's from laughing at the production quality and sometimes it's laughing with the film. It is camp personified! One of the standout aspects of the film is the musical numbers, which are bizarre and hilarious. If having infamously unique vocals of Christopher Lee singing "drink your poison or we'll have to get the boys in" isn't enough, there is an entire song where the lyrics are the word "bullshit" repeated at different variations of shouting in a move Sparks would have been proud of. Musicals are generally seen as over the top, but this is not so much 'over the top' as 'what's that in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a plane' sort of
