The Phantom steals the diamond, but Sellers steals the movie Watching The Pink Panther after seeing some of the others growing up is an interesting experience. This isn't a film about Inspector Clousseau, but you can see why the rest were! Peter Sellers is just pure magic! For the uninitiated, this film is sort of an ensemble comedy heist movie. You have David Niven as Sir Charles Lytton, the notorious Phantom, Robert Wagner as George Lytton, the phantom's nephew and Capucine as Simone Clouseau, Inspector Clouseau's wife, all after the diamond The Pink Panther. Peter Sellers is Inspector Clousseau, who wants to catch the Phantom. There's hijinks along the way. Watching this is like when you get that lovely smell when you've got a cake in the oven. All the ingredients are there and you can tell something incredible is coming, but it's not quite here yet.
