genuinely unsettling and believable portrayal of the privileged elite. gave Succession vibes for a hot minute the kind of movie that leaves you constantly reading between the lines to uncover more of the character’s motivations and behaviour amazing and horrible
It’s a sickening, hypnotising, jaw-dropping perfection of a movie with such deep understanding of, kind of, everything, where any laughter comes from a place of pure shock and disbelief. I just can’t not notice the irony of the elites giving recognition to this movie at both Cannes and Academy Awards while either turning a blind eye or participating in the ongoing Epstein-Weinstein activities I’m generally disgusted by people that side with abusive minority, often for no other reason than to maintain traditions, perceptions and avoid personal conflict, but lately that disgust has escalated into a deep contempt as I’m learning that so many people are not just apathetic to the suffering of others, but genuinely don’t mind it. I’ll have to do something about it to avoid giving myself an aneurysm, since that seems to be the way our society functions on every single level. This movie portrayed that, among other things, so well, so, made my blood boil but otherwise a brilliant movie 🫶🏻
