For one month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they’ve been playing since the first grade. This year, the game coincides with the wedding of their only undefeated player, which should finally make him an easy target. But he knows they’re coming...and he’s ready.

Saw this when it released but honestly couldn't tell you much beyond the whole "grown men still playing tag" thing. Didn't stick with me. Now having rewatched it I get why. The bulk of the movie is just... fine? Like it's your standard American comedy, hits the beats you'd expect, a few laughs here and there. Nothing wrong with that but nothing that grabs you either. Kinda coasts on the premise alone for most of its runtime. But man that ending. Without spoiling anything it catches you off guard and actually lands emotionally. Paired with a really fitting track it's easily the highlight of the whole thing for me. Wish the rest of the movie had even half of that energy. "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." is also a really cool quote
