It's worth noting that all my scores are reflective of how much I enjoy a film and aren't necessarily measurements in the quality on display and Wrath of Khan is the most enjoyable Star Trek film! There's so much I could gush over about it as you will see. It's a film that manages to combine some really tense action with some interesting ideas. On a broad scale, I approve of the movement towards a naval and sea fairing motif. In essence this is what Star Trek is. It is humanity going in search of new lands for political, scientific and economic purposes. It is right that a Star Trek film is a swashbuckling affair. It's even realised in details such as the new uniforms. What better a sea fairing narrative to base a Star Trek film off than Moby Dick too!
