Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere is a 2025 biographical musical drama directed by Scott Cooper. Based primarily on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book Deliver Me from Nowhere, with elements from Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography Born to Run, the movie explores his personal and creative struggles during the making of his 1982 album Nebraska. Jeremy Allen White stars as Springsteen, delivering an exceptional performance, he truly nails the role. The film is not what I expected, and it’s clearly aimed more at dedicated fans of Springsteen’s music than at casual viewers. Rather than a conventional musical biopic, it offers a quiet, introspective look at Springsteen’s life in the early 1980s, focusing almost entirely on the emotional and artistic process behind Nebraska. 7/10
