Scream 3 is a 2000 American slasher film directed by Wes Craven and written by Ehren Kruger. The story follows Sidney Prescott, who has gone into isolation after the events of the previous two films but is drawn to Hollywood when a new Ghostface killer begins targeting the cast of the film-within-a-film, Stab 3. The film leans more heavily into comedy than the previous ones, blending satire and horror in a more exaggerated way. The cast is solid, led by David Arquette, Neve Campbell, and Courteney Cox, who continue to serve as the core of the trilogy. However, the film sometimes feels uneven in pacing, and parts of the script are not as strong or tightly written as the earlier films. Probably the weakest entry in the Scream trilogy, it still delivers a few entertaining moments and retains some of the charm of the franchise. 6/10
