Join Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the Mystery Inc. crew as they head to Chicago for Talent Star, a hit talent show in which Fred and Daphne are finalists with some high hopes. Damn, wasn't ready for this watch to be that enjoyable. Reading the synopsis I was scared it would once again be a generic plot with whatever and I was ready to have an okay fun time without much else, what a pleasant surprise when it was more than that. || So one big positive is the story kinda goes away from the main points every movie tries to do, like setting up the lore of the place/explaining characters and possible motives and such. Here we get that but for a bit the plot is more about Daphne and Fred "developing" feelings and talking about them. The scene on the balcony was cool and really well done. The sheer idea of having multiple characters being a villain was cool as hell and made sure you at least thought you were correct for one of them and it really played well with those new stories that make you doubt every chance they get where everyone is a suspect. I was ready for the puppet master being the big villain and doing it because Chrissy was actually an adult being used by her parents for clout, which may have been a cool plot but what we got was also okay (Where Dewey and the presenter are the bad guys really) || Other than the plot being well done and fun to follow from start to finish the animation feels really good, except at points where 2D and 3D are mixed does it feel clunky but that's okay. Some adult visuals are used || the magician looking like he had been hanged was kinda surprising to see but well done ||. There really wasn't a moment where I wanted to look at my phone just because it was slowing down or being too repetitive like some episodes have been at times which is really positive. Definitely an S-tier movie for me.
