Eggers ha fatto anche cose buone: il film è molto ispirato esteticamente e tematicamente, ho apprezzato il nuovo focus su depressione, senso di colpa e violenza. Invece, mentre capisco l’idea dietro il design di Orlok, che rappresenta il nostro male innato, devo dire che visivamente non funziona: troppo debole rispetto alle sue versioni precedenti. In più il ritmo del film è frammentato, si passa da scene movimentate a momenti pieni di dialoghi pensati solo per far avanzare la trama. Ah, ringraziare Dafoe se sono stato generoso nel voto.
quite bland and forgettable which is actually an accomplishment some great visuals but that’s basically all the movie has to offer
