Nope

I feel the 'Good Doctor' Mark Kermode summarised this film best in that it is more fun to talk about than to watch. I must qualify that statement by highlighting that Nope isn't a particularly uninteresting experience. In a sense it's cinematic tapas. There are a lot of elements I liked, but I don't feel particularly "full", it doesn't feel like one coherent vision, largely leaves the audience to decide what they want to take from it and while I had a reasonable time, I feel there is going to land a lot better with people with other tastes. Dealing with the basic elements of storytelling, I don't think the plot progressed in a manner I found satisfying. If I were to pinpoint what it was, I felt that at the expense of expanding on story components new components were introduced. For example the store clerk was effectively sidelined once the Director of Photography came onto the scene.
