Michael is a 2026 biographical film directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan. A fun watch, great production. Fuck the producers or whomever for making this have a part 2, or who knows, maybe a trilogy lol. Anyways, despite everything Michael Jackson is an interesting persona with interesting story. Not to mention his talent...
Yeah I don't know what to say, I feel like it's a playbook script where everything makes perfect sense or has been "established" in some way but like not per se subtle nor in your face. it's really weird and it may just be me giving it too much attention I guess. Music is good (who would have thought that huh : ^) ) || U can feel they are trying to make Joe Jackson the bad guy and in fsct it works but there's this weird feeling where they don't fully commit too (probably cause IRL Jackson later made "peace" or whatever with his father) and it the end not so bad cause Joe Jackson really shines as a character for me, would've actually loved more development on his character and why he's so obsessed with victory and being rude (besides the we poor we need to get money somehow). Like at some point he's just there to let Michael do something thst hinders his career (but actually not that much) or he's just kike "hahah that's ma boy". I don't know how he really was IRL but yeah.|| To be honest I would've maybe prefered if this movie was named "Jackson" and was more about The Jackson 5 / Jacksons and that the follow up movie was about Michael and was then named "Michael" it may have been an interesting approach. Makes me also really scared for the follow up movie with the whole neverland drama and whatever happend or not with the kids Bob mentioned; he works at MTV apparently. and also Bob Dylan but that's whatever
