Deliveryman Deke Rivers is discovered by publicist Glenda Markle and country-western musician Tex Warner who want to promote him to fame and fortune, giving him every break he deserves. Romantic complications arise as Susan, another singer in the group, offers him devoted admiration as Glenda leads him on with promises of a golden future.

They haven't done anything yet!', well this is a movie version of that. Loving You is for all intents and purposes a dramatised Elvis biopic up that point of his life. What's there to tell? Well he was spotted he was spotted by an agent, who helps them get famous by presenting them as young and dangerous while also ripping Elvis off. Some details are switched and there's a twist in there about our protagonist's name but the parallels are pretty blatant. There is a love triangle in the film too of course, which is to be expected if you're familiar with the Elvis 'genre', although this time one of the participants is the a gender swapped Colonel Tom Parker stand in. I'm sure a psychologist could have a field day trying to unpick this narrative choice. I'm sure it won't surprise you to know
