In the year 2044, time travel has not yet been invented but in 30 years it will have been. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target into the past where a looper, a hired gun, like Joe is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good until the day the mob decides to close the loop, sending back Joe's future self for assassination.

First of all, how did they manage to make Joseph Gordon Levitt not look like himself NOR Bruce Willis? He really sits in some uncanny valley but like close enough to being normal. Anyways aside from that, the time travel is pretty well done (I mean explained). I don't think it makes much sense for what happens in the future in some sense, but the idea that || what you do to the character RN is copied on his future self that is in the present directly || works. Thought I remembered the movie pretty good turns out I only saw the first 30 min or so or at least that's what I remembered. The story is neat once again the timeloop just makes sense for the story like Back to the Future no need to think further than that (not like some other movie, uhuh uhuh Tenet uhuh uhuh). The visuals and worldbuilding are a bit odd but at the same time are okay cause it's just a possible future where everything kinda stays "grounded" in reality. The characters feel kinda blended tho, I feel no particular attachment to anyone except Sara sorta but even that is really basic and she spawns so late in the movie it's kinda sad. Overall cool movie with a great take on the time travel idea definitely should be seen once.
