Army officer Josh Morgan returns to the Smoky Mountains and tries to convince his kinfolk to allow a missile site to be built on their land. Once he arrives, he discovers he has a lookalike cousin.
Yes that is what the title says and yes that is what the film is about. Actually, I'm being unfair. The plot is actually about the American military train to convince some civilians to allow them to test/develop ballistic missiles on their land through the medium of Elvis Presley trying to sleep with his cousins. Unfortunately in the sub genre of 'this is a mad premise for a film', we're closer to the Megalopolis end of the entertainment spectrum than we are Killer Clowns from Outer Space. Once Elvis has got his briefing from Grandpa Joe it is just more nonsense shenanigans where Elvis chases women like a Mormon Benny Hill (can't get too overtly sexual, we are still in the era of the Hayes Code afterall). I suspect there was supposed to be some form of love triangle at the heart of this, however it doesn't really work when none of the characters have any discernible personality. It's hard to feel any sort of tension or passion for any romance when you don't care for the charac
