After so many years and with the ability to find almost anything on the internet, what makes us keep coming back to Jackass? In a word 'camaraderie' Jackass Forever very much captures the charm of the first three films. There's a wonderfully adolescent charm to all the jokes, pranks and stunts and there's no malicious intent behind them either, it's just friends having a daft laugh. There's a clear love, support and concern for eachother if things go wrong too. It's fun to see this extend beyond the cast too with pranks on writer Eric Andre and director Jeff Tremaine. In the age of 'just a prank bro' it's kind of refreshing to see that you can be stupid and gross but without needing to be nasty. In fact Jackass has always been more 'progressive' than has been let on, with its exploitation of male nudity, homoeroticism from an era that was often homophobic and it's celebration of different body types.
