A horror movie for content creators Those who follow me and know me will be acutely aware that I am not a content creator. The closest I get is writing these reviews, which are closer to a journal dedicated to jogging the memory of my easily distracted mind... and the occasional shitpost. To my mind, the world of content creation terrifies yet fascinates in equal measure and Ingrid Goes West is one of the more adept attempts by Hollywood to capture the different anxieties of that world. For those unfamiliar with this film, we follow Ingrid (Aubrey Plaza) who has been the subject of a mental breakdown after her mother died. She is alone and seeks connection via social media. From there she discovers Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen) and seems to infiltrate Taylor's social circle. In a nutshell, it is a film that focuses on the more extreme behaviours that can be born out on parasocial relationships. Ingrid Goes West therefore offers a lot to digest in terms of thinking about how we
