Three aliens from the planet Taros land on Earth and are befriended by a Wyoming rancher's son.
Generally inoffensive There's a certain sadness about watching the credits and noticing that the director is Peter R Hunt, director of the Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. OHMSS is in all probability the bravest and most interesting Bond film, at least until the Daniel Craig era. Hyper Sapien: People from Another Star by contrast is pretty flat and run of the mill for the most part. The plot is ET with padding. Some aliens head to earth, a young man and his family try to protect the aliens from the rest of humanity/government institutions. In lieu of creating any sort of tension, we are instead treated to a fairly gentle love story mixed in with occasional High School student talking points about the environment and standard conversations about if humanity is ready to meet extra terrestrial life.
