Johnny Tyronne, action movie star and ladies' man, is traveling through the Middle East on a goodwill tour to promote his latest film. Upon arrival, however, he's kidnapped by a gang of assassins so impressed with his cinematic adventures that they want him to carry out an assassination for them.
Imagine watching Elvis Presley 'Judo Chop' a jaguar and it being one of the most boring things you've ever seen. Harum Scarum commits many crimes, from being culturally insensitive to endorsing child prostitution, but crucially it is boring. So boring it went to Boring University and got a phd in 'boring' and wrote it's thesis titled 'The unremarkable thing about boredom'. Not since Nukie have I seen anything so boring. I feel this bilge masquerading as a film is the product of an identity crisis as Colonel Tom Parker realises Elvis isn't getting any younger and can't get away with being the cheeky young rebel anymore. Elvis doesn't appeal to the teenage market anymore, so they need a new audience. The new audience in this case however is no one.
