Elvis sinks to new depths With every new Elvis movie, it's hard to conceive of an even flimsier premise, yet they keep outdoing themselves. This time Elvis plays a former Naval Officer, current scuba diver and nightclub singer, who finds what could be treasure at the bottom of the ocean. So, once again it's a washing line movie, i.e. lose framework to hang some songs onto. So this isn't a movie of substance. But is it entertaining?... I think you can guess. Thing is if you're familiar with Elvis films you'll see all the old patterns. We have the standard oddities. Elvis sings a safe but horny song about a 'love machine', which, other than being inferior to the Girls Aloud song, is about a machine where Elvis can win women. You have Elvis creepily stalking a woman, an annoying comedy character, blatant body doubles and Elvis kissing more than one woman. It's all very predictable... well apart from the most notorious scene... For those who don't know there is a fan made album
