No spoiler tags, this is garbage, there's nothing to protect. One idea, repeated over and over: punishment for crime is death, delivered via gunfire, dressed up as profound. An American businessman moves to Europe to "fix it" with a pistol, gunning down criminals while local police chase their own tails. He lectures a rapist's father about choosing religion over democracy, the irony completely lost on the movie, since he's doing the exact same thing himself, choosing his own personal justice over institutions, just with better aim. He asks a rape victim if she "wants justice," framing the legal route as a brutal trial where she'll testify in a room full of people calling her a liar, versus his version, which is immediate. But in his head "justice" already means death, she never gets a real choice, he's just deciding for her. Meanwhile he scrolls Instagram reading comments from people cheering him on, shown as a public support, when it's really just a guy reading his own fan mail. It's Velimir Bujanec meets Tarantino. Uwe Boll is notorious for shitty movies, that part is nothing new, but this one is actively dangerous. It's made for people who think in black and white and need permission to believe vigilante justice is a real answer to crime. The underlying topic, a broken justice system that fails victims, is worth engaging with, and credit where it's due for not avoiding it. But any reasonable person should agree that the fight against bad laws and weak institutions isn't a guy with a gun appointing himself judge, jury, and executioner. Fun fact: shot largely in Zagreb, a bus scene around Središće and Bundek, a scene on Mažuranićev trg etc. etc., Croatian Army vehicles and all. Conclusion: piece of shit movie.
