The only reason this gets above half a star is because Pierce Brosnan sings. It somehow never gets tiring watching him strain towards a note. Truly awful film. It's just so garish and ugly from a visual point of view (cinematography, costume... everything really). The songs are just an autotuned assault on your eardrums. It doesn't help that the arrangements and the selections are poor. It's just a constant bombardment of loudness. Even the dialogue is constructed to just be a relenting attack of noise. There are barely any pauses to let the, rather terrible, jokes land. This film as the two tropes that modern Hollywood comedies have of assuming 'modern' vernacular is the same thing as a joke and the need to keep talking or explaining the joke after it happens. The performances are either average or weak. There are some poor sods such as Ben Bailey Smith and James Acaster who have been roped into this film.
