The Wedded Bliss computer dating agency aims to bring together the lonely hearts of Much-Snoggin-in-the-Green. Its owner, Sidney Bliss, has enough complications in his own love life, but still produces a pamphlet called 'The Wit to Woo'. The strange collection of hopefuls lead to some outlandish matches—and jealousies are bound to lead to trouble.
Dated dating agency It finally happened, the Carry On franchise dropped all pretence that they were something other than a cheap innuendo factory. Carry On Loving has abandoned any sort of layers and bares nothing but it's essentials. After some jaunts in the past, we're back to the 1970's and this time Sid James and Hattie Jacques run a dating agency. From there we get a series of meandering half plots involving different characters trying to get their end away... so business as usual. The problem here is in removing a lot of the pretence that the subject matter is about something other than sex, we are left with a complete lack of consistent peril. The problem with a building plots and jokes around romance and copulation is that, typically, you want the couples to actually get together. The peril is in them not finding love or in failing to get into bed with someone. However, throughout most of Carry On Loving, I didn't really want a lot of these people to end up together. H
