Dr. Nookey is disgraced and sent to a remote island hospital. He is given a secret slimming potion by a member of staff, Gladstone Screwer, and he flies back to England to fame and fortune. But others want to cash in on his good fortunes, and some just want him brought down a peg or two.
The one where you wait for the waylaid weight loss foray. Carry On Again Doctor feels like two movies jammed together and they both feel a little bit underwhelming. There's the initial half you would expect from Carry On Again Doctor, where a group of horny, incompetent or horny and incompetent people get up to medical based shenanigans. It's uninspired but has an ok hit rate. Then there's a second half based around Jim Dale discovering Sid James, rather prophetically, inventing Ozempic/Manjaro, and then praying on women like a randy vulture. As such we have a plot that slutters it's way through and pacing equivalent to a jazz drummer battling between a heroin and cocaine addiction. In my opinion the story could have worked more effectively by trimming down the initial hospital scenes and jumping straight to Kenneth Williams telling Jim Dale he's on his last warning, seeing Dale cock up once and then he goes to the island.
