Perhaps the high rating is because I am contrasting it with the James Bond novels which I read this year, but I really enjoyed this book. There's a constant tension running throughout, with a precision of detail to help visualise events as they unfold while enough ambiguity to keep you guessing.<br><br>Perhaps it could have done with a bit more context, as modern audiences might not be as clued into the intricacies of Charles De Gaulle, but there's certainly enough information to give a clear idea as to understand his significance.
