Supergirl

I'm prepping myself for a #[movie:1081003:Supergirl (2026)] watch and thought why not read the comic it got based on (knowing full well that it will never be the same). So it was a pwetty great read, had a hard time at the end cause of the ambiguity || with the whole Ruthye is writing the story but she actually lied and like my brain didn't register so for a moment I thoight she said the truth but that didn't match with the panels so I was like "huh?". || Anyways after clearing the ambiguity of the end I can understand the negative responses for the movie cause from what I've heard ABSOLUTELY different take on the plot and message, soo... yeah not good (we'll see once I see the movie). Other than the story and morals, The art is really colorful and radiates cosmic energy which is fantastic to witness that way. The whole backstory of Kara (Supergirl) was told in a way that lets you feel the weight she has been carrying and still carries compared to Superman who has other problems. My only real complaint is || When Kara survives the planet with the green sun she makes a comment I presume about Superman and how he's a #$&$# for only staying there for 45 minutes and saying it felt like death and such, I mean sure thing great performance for 10 hours but why undermine your fucking cousin about it, except if there's some lore where boyscout Superman flexed on Kara for no good reason felt pretty random and unnecessary || Otherwise Kara is a really great character that shows how much pain she's pushing through (Mentally and physically) and how she uses this knowledge and helps people out as much as she can to be able to grieve their loss which she had to do alone and without much help (if not none). Anyways can't wait to see the movie and have a total twisted character that has nothing to do with this one 🙃 (Side note I'm really hyped for the movie Kara but I gotta admit I don't see her being the same as this comics Kara with what we got shown from Superman ending and trailers)
