I feel it's a big improvement on Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Some really neat pay offs to jokes, that Adams has built up over a long time. <br><br>I can tell that this was a treatment for a Doctor Who movie, partly because it matches the silliness of Adam's era but also because it has clear plotting. <br><br>There's a good dose of diary style entries too providing lots of humorous lore.<br><br>If it has one weakness the resolution feels a little rushed somehow. Everything adds up and makes sense within the logic of this universe but it didn't feel like there was much of a build up, especially when halfway through the book we still have exposition from Slartibartfast about the nature of the problem.
