Oh yeah definitely all comign together, I can confirm that the from what I feel the greatest things that made Near and Mello having the upperhand is 1. they knew L was dead and 2.the fact they are more competing between each other than with Kira so it's like a 1v1v1 but with an underlying 2v1 is pretty insane. || The whole innocence really lies on 2 things a (fake) rule in the book and Dad yagami saying "you're not Kira" and in this volume we are able to see how fragile this really can be and when u put 2 and 2 together it all starts to crumble. Also I never understood why L deleted his whole data but I think it's because he must've thought "yeah if Kira was able to kill me or Watari the information we had mustibeen wrong somewhere" and it makes so much more sense like this to me at least || Anyways can't wait to see it all be resolved in next book
